From 1989 to 1991, there was a proto Mhdb band called 'Mozart' (g, b, d). Then, in 1991, Mhdb were founded as a percussion group and also session band. This group or band tested out rock & jazz standards, German folksongs, and arias (1).

From 1992 to 1993, the Mhdb-related 'Scheik' trio (tbn, b, steeld-d) virtually processed this percussion & session stuff into various 5/4 adaptations without texts, for example: "Trophie" (mp3, 30 sec), a 5/4 adaptation of a jazz standard by Monk * * */Clarke, 'Epistrophy', and the prototype of the later Mhdb "BumerangTrophue" (mp3, 3:36 min, 2008-09; 30 sec: 2003, 1997). From 1993 to 1996, the 'Scheik' duo (sous, steeld-d) developed Mhdb prototype songs from the former Scheik trio adaptations, but still only in 5/4, and added the first self-composed song prototypes, for example: the prototype of the "KarlMarxShuffle" (mp3, 30 sec), 1996, without text.

In 1994 Mhdb became an experimental duo (voc-b, voc-steeld-d). This duo completed the prototype songs with absurd texts, that were influenced by: Stan & Ollie * *, Mrs. Miller *, Mozart, Joachim Ringelnatz, Karl Marx *, et al. *, and the music & culture of the global megacities and historical metropolises. Song example: "KarlMarxShuffle" (mp3, 30 sec), 1998, with text. From 1999 to 2005, Mhdb performed as an Avantgarde Jazz & Absurd Rock trio (g, voc-b, voc-steeld-d). This trio refined the former Mhdb duo repertory. For example again: "KarlMarxShuffle" (mp3, 30 sec), 2005, text.

Since 2005, the Mhdb band (duo-quintet: voc, voc-steeld-d, playb-computer or key, ...) has been experimenting on the basis of this repertoire of about 40 songs in live sessions and also as a virtual and beginning e-jam band. 2008-2012: "KarlMarxShuffle" (mp3, 3:29 min), text; "Klopstock&Kumpels" (mp3, 3:12 min), instrumental; "Bambulete" (mp3, 4:42 min), free, a tribute to Bambulete.org; etc.

In 2010 Bambulete (d, d, computer, non-tonal Mhdb standards, Free Jazz, etc.) were established as the 7th Mhdb band. The "KarlMarxShuffle", for example, is played as a 5/4 percussion song: "CharliesShufflete" (mp3, 3:42 min), exceptionally a little bit tonally.

The Mhdb bands (approx. 1990-) have used their songs ('Mhdb standards') as a starting point for permanent experiments, for example, with very different U.S.-European styles, but above all urban music, culture & development of the global megacities and historical metropolises (2). The Mhdb texts deal with absurd everyday life in modern German history and, increasingly, global developmental differences in relation to the global megacities and historical metropolises. The texts are similar to the spoken word or text collages, which constantly change, but in a much slower tempo than the accompanying music. There are English translations. Other languages and the setting of the Mhdb texts to music may be possible. (3)
